Washi Tapes with Animal Patterns

Did you know that you can get washi tapes with cute animal patterns!?  Animal washi tape is some of my favourite.

Here are some examples of my favourite animal washi tapes.

These woodland animals are very cute and the design on this masking tape is quite elegant and sophisticated.

These blue elephants are super cute!  This washi tape is perfect for a child's art project especially if that child likes elephants!

The moose's in this forest look awesome, just hanging out like that.  It's a good Canadian or Alaskan themed washi tape and the colours are great too.

Christmas animals like sheep and monkeys wearing santa hats!  How silly!  This is an excellent roll of Japanese masking tape for the holiday season.

This is another very simple and elegant looking washi tape design with a bunch of birds sitting on a wire.  Very classy.

I'm not sure what peko peko means but the dog is super cute.  Plus it's hungry!  How cute is that?

This rabbit couple is super cute and perfect for a sort of love themed card or valentines day anything!

Did You Know You Can Get Lace Washi Tape?

Did you know that washi tape doesn't just come in tape?  It also comes in a sort of sticky lace that you can use just like you would use tape, except it's lace!

Check out some of these examples:

These three colours of lace you wouldn't think would go together but the green and pink here looks great!

This is more of a classic sort of white or off white lace and you can just peel it off and stick it on whatever you want.

I love the shade of blue on this lace washi tape.

If you're looking for a more vibrant sort of green spring washi lace tape then this one is perfect!

These three colours of lace washi tape remind me of chocolate and are perfect for chocolate coloured projects.

Hello Everyone!

Hello everyone!  My name is Harumi and this is my new blog all about fun with washi tape.

What is washi tape you might ask?  I'm glad you asked.  Washi tape is a super cute and awesome tape from Japan.  It's kind of like masking tape but it's so much more.

Washi is a very traditional kind of paper from Japan that's made out of any number of different native Japanese plants and trees.  There's a very specific way to make the paper and people in Japan have been making washi paper like this for hundreds of years.

Washi tape now is simply tape made from washi paper.  It's very easy to use.  It sticks to almost anything and can be easily peeled off and reused.  It's perfect for all kinds of crafts like scrapbooking, making cards or anything else you can think of.

The best part is that washi tape comes in a ridiculously huge variety of different colours and patterns.  You would be absolutely surprised to see how many different varieties of washi tape you can get and they're all so cute!

I'm going to be using this blog to post some awesome washi tapes I find, washi tape projects and a whole lot more so stay tuned if you want to have a lot of fun with washi tape!
